Donate today to support Kirtland's Warbler Conservation!
Two partner organizations of the Kirtland’s Warbler Conservation Team (KWCT) raise funds to support ongoing Kirtland’s Warbler conservation efforts. We encourage you to consider giving to one or both.
Kirtland’s Warbler Alliance: The only nonprofit that focuses exclusively on Kirtland’s Warbler conservation, the Kirtland’s Warbler Alliance concentrates on public education, volunteer opportunities, and state and federal legislation that benefits Kirtland’s Warblers. The Alliance is dedicated to raising awareness and support for Kirtland’s Warbler and the conservation programs necessary for the health of the species and jack pine forests where it nests. The Alliance meets this mission by developing and administering a variety of outreach programs, developing strategic partnerships, and dedicated fundraising efforts.

Kirtland's Warbler Long-term Fund (American Bird Conservancy): The conservation management actions that brought Kirtland’s Warblers back from the brink of extinction must continue in perpetuity to ensure the future of the species. However, removal from the federal Endangered Species List means a shift in public agency priorities and possibly declining funding for Kirtland’s Warbler management. In response, the KWCT is pioneering a novel public-private partnership to build a Kirtland’s Warbler-specific endowment. American Bird Conservancy, a nonprofit dedicated to conserving wild birds and their habitats throughout the Americas, is leading the private fundraising effort. Interest generated from the Kirtland’s Warbler Long-term Fund will be directed to conservation priorities determined by the full membership of the KWCT Steering Committee. If this partnership is a success, it will be a model for sustaining other “conservation-reliant” species nationwide.
